"Looking for a place in Freo or the City? Well stop it. It's a stupid idea. You'll end up paying ridiculous amounts of money to live in a filing cabinet, surrounded by thousands of unhappy people.

Come live in the hills! You can pay reasonable sums of money to live in paradise, and be surrounded by nobody at all!

The shire of Karragullen was founded in eighteen tickety four, by Sir Arthur Karragullen, a school teacher who traveled the country, founding shires. Since then, nothing at all has changed, which makes it pretty much the best place to live in Western Australia.

The house I live in has more rooms than I can count with my shoes on, and is a fully furnished, full modern facilities, (Aircon, interweb, 3 wood fires, gas hot water, electric lights, close to telegraph station etc.) very recently renovated farmhouse. There are no neighbors within hollerin' distance, so it's a great place to unwind and relax. Also, you can be as loud as you want, so it's a great place to not unwind and not relax if that's what you're into.

There is a pub within walking distance, but it's not very good.

In addition to this it has its' own lake, filled with delicious looking fish, a veggie garden, chickens, cows, kangaroos, reptiles, native birds and a national park literally at the end of the drive. All this located a mere 3 minutes from the city center*.

I have some space available (4 rooms, 2 with double beds, 2 unfurnished) that would suit a couple or groups of travelers from now until the end of January. There is plenty of work available in the area and I think some of it might even fall in to the rural slave labor category for visa purposes.

I will be in Europe for 6 weeks over Christmas and would like to have some reliable people to feed the chickens for me while I'm away, so you'd have the place to yourselves for that time.

What I look for in a housemate, is someone who thinks they might be able to feed chickens every day (or at least most days) when I'm not here. Apart from that, I'm happy to live with just about anyone, and love meeting new people.

I'm a 29 year old male from New Zealand, who works in the city Monday to Friday, and generally wanders about in the bush on weekends.

Rent would be shared equally among whoever lives here, but is very reasonable, so please give me a call if you want some more details.

Remember; Living in the city makes you look fat. Don't spend another Sunday morning dodging vomit on the pavement outside. Come live in the hills today.

P.S: Those Cows aren't dead, they're just resting.

* By helicopter. 45 Minutes in a car. You'll probably need a car to live here. It's about 6 k's to the nearest shop. I have a bicycle you can borrow, but it's a girls one, and the tires are a bit flat.
