If it's something I've learnt under this trip it is to never plan anything. You never know what happens. And my problem is - im planing to much. The thing is that I feel like I have too because I have this around-the-globe ticket which means I have to schedule everything.

Imagine this. When me and Maja left Sweden 7th of January our plans were to go to Thailand for 2,5 weeks, travel down the east coast from Cairns to Melbourne in 4 months, go to New Zealand beginning of may and stay there for a month. After that we were planing to go to California for one month and then be back in Sweden again 1th of July.

What happened instead?
We travelled together for around 8 weeks, travelled pretty much down and up the east coast in 6 weeks instead of 4 months. We split up, she went to a fruitfarm and I went down to Melbourne. She hooked up with Anton and did a roadtrip around Australia and I hooked up with Sonja. Got an apartment in Melbourne and now we have been here for almost 3 months. I extanded my trip til like next year, planing to go to New Zealand, California and Asia before that. Instead of 6 months of travelling for me, I decided to travel for 12 months. So. This pretty much shows that it's impossible to plan anything!

I believe that all of this happened because of the freaking cyclone in QLD in the beginning of feb. If it wasn't for that cyclone me and Maja never would have taken that flight down to Brisbane, which was at the exact same time Sonja and Anton arrived to QLD from New Zealand.  Scary how things just happen, isn't it?

Anywaaay, Sonja decided to go back to Sweden in july! Really hard decision for her, we love this place to much. I feel like I have to leave then too, which is within 6 weeks. This city wouldn't be the same without her!
We are trying to figure out wheter we can do a roadtrip through Australia before we split up, it would be TO sad to split up here in Melbourne.

Melbourne-life is soon over, but it's a beginning of a new era soooooon and it kinda feels good too!
